Leftover tiramisu components = tiramisu trifle

Just this Thursday I made a tiramisu for my friend at work who’s leaving us to go to work someplace else. I have about 22 sponge fingers left, 1/2 cup or so coffee syrup, a tub of mascarpone cheese and enough heavy cream. Better make something before the syrup’s gone bad so I was thinking why don’t I make tiramisu trifle? All I did was layer the sponge fingers-chocolate shavings (my idea)-mascarpone cheese and topped with cocoa powder and more chocolate shavings. Not too bad for desserts tonight!
Velvety and luscious…

I’d say you made a pretty good impromptu dessert. You don’t want mascarpone to go to waste now, do you?! Looks delicious!
thanks again Lori! it just one of the day that I want to be creative…I don’t like to waste mascarporne, no way!

I like your thinking – such a great way to use up leftover ingredients and not feel guilty.
that’s because i’m a thrift person
never toss any leftover unless it’s spoiled!
